cross cultural requirement

Hello everyone. I am needing to take my cross cultural requirement. I found an online class called Rise of Modern Asia. Has anyone taken this class. If so, could you give me your perspective of the class. If you took something else, what was it and how was it?

Cultural Anthropology - loved it. Didn't take it at OU -

I took the Fashion and Culture class. It was only 5 weeks long. It was the worst class I have taken at OU. The exams are proctored and hard. The assignments were due on fridays and were time consuming. It is doable if you want to get it over in 5 weeks. I ended up with an A in the class.

There are quite a few courses that can satisfy this requirement. As nrinme points out, cultural anthro is one and other anthro courses such as communication systems would also work. Other alternatives are courses in non-Western history or philosophy and comparative religion. I've actually taken all of these (I started out in college as a sociology major) and would think that any of them would be more interesting than "Fashion and Culture" but hey, I've got that Y chromosome doing some of my thinking . . .

I second thais statement. we were in the class together. I also ended up with an A but it was a HORRIBLE class.
