CRNA recertification after 10 years

Published

I am in the process of getting re-certified as a CRNA after a 10 year absence during which I was a stay at home mom. Has anyone else out there every done this? I am very nervous about the process, but also excited to get back into the profession.

It is great that you took ten years off, to raise your family.

Good Luck

Dear HelloKittyNJ-

I read your situation and I am going through the same situation - that is getting my CRNA practice back after 10 years of raising a family.

How are you doing and what are you doing to get your practice back?

I need advice from anyone! I am a CRNA who has been out 10 years too.

Thanks-

Are you taking Re-cert classes? There is a great re-cert program in Winston-Salem, NC run by Sandy Ouellette the previous PD for the Wake Forest Baptist program. It is an indepth review of all things anesthesia.

good luck to you.

This recert class is run by two very prominent and talented CRNA's. You will be prepared to reenter the practice arena after thier class. Good Luck!
