I have finally landed my dream nursing job that Is the perfect fit for my lifestyle now. It is a blessing after a few years of struggle.

I started my career is an ICU nurse and loved it. But then life happened and circumstances changed and I couldn't do it anymore and had some bad jobs after it.

But now, I am happy. However, my job has zero patient care. Actually, I work from home. And again, I stress, I love it.

However, I think ICU nursing is very possibly in my blood. I missing. I haven't been at the ICU bedside in 3 years. When I get settled for a year in my current position I'd love to go back to the ICU per diem.

Do I have a chance of getting hired 4 years out? I'm sure it would be scary.

I never thought it would stick in my blood

It might be hard to walk into a per diem spot having been off so long, because they usually want someone who can immediately do the job without training. It seems to me that most people in per diem spots got there because they were full time in the same position and then transitioned there.

I could be wrong though! Nothing's impossible.
