Im currently working at ICU and studying for the CCRN exam. In our ICU we don't really use Swanz and we dont deal with IABP's. We have a bunch of neurological cases etc. Does anyone have any tips, resources, or study plan they can share? So far Im using the AACN review online, doing the PASS CCRN questions and referring to the AACN book and PASS CCRN for further information when I need to look up something. I find that the PASS CCRN book is too detailed and too lengthy. Any help/feedback would be appreciated.

In addition, what would you compare the questions most similar to among these resources?

There are lots of threads on this topic, if you scroll through. I and many others would agree that Pass CCRN is a great resource, but perhaps not the best test prep. The questions did not accurately reflect the exam. I recommend Barron's CCRN Review by Pat Juarez.

Laura Gasparis videos and her online practice exams together with the Pocket prep for CCRN App, the $12 150-question booklet from aacn. Two days before the exam, I did the self assessment test from acnn/psi. Studied for less than 10 days. Took it last April 13, 2017 and I passed! Got 104. The result said you have to get 87 to pass the exam. Gasparis videos are awesome!!! Highly recommend her online lecture video that comes with practice exams (got it from ccrnreview.com). Questions from her online and the pocket prep app are similar to the exam. And I got two questions from the booklet that appeared on the actual test.

I used Pass CCRN! and found it very helpful, but I did not read any of it. I just used it for the practice exams online and then read the rationale if I missed questions so I had a better understanding.

Can you share more about your experience with the Pocket Prep app? Was it a good user interface, clear explanations, etc? I used the NCLEX RN Mastery app exclusively to study for the NCLEX and really enjoyed that experience but wasn't sure if there was a good CCRN prep app out there.
