So, I just got my transcript eval. I will have 40 credits to complete my BSN. I will have statistics, government, communications, biochem, nutrition and all the nursing classes. I only work per diem, and my husband has suggested if I want to do this I cut back to 2 days a week from three. We have young kids and I stay pretty busy with them. They are both in school full time, so I should have plenty of daytime study hours.
Due to to financial and some personal reasons the only way I can do this is if I finish in a year. I think I can do it. Am I nuts?

Lots of people have done that in one term. You can complete it in a year if you work hard and put in the necessary time.

I will have done 38 credits this year at the end of the year, have an old tired mind, family responsabilities and work part time. It can be done.

Yes, I think you can do it if you don't procrastinate, and just do work steadily and regularly.
Thanks for the encouragement. Now that's it's really looking like a reality I'm getting nervous. I was always a good student, but it's been so long! What if I can't do it?!?!
You can do it. For the most part, it's not a very difficult program.

I recently completed 34 credits in 10 months while working full-time night shift. Another frequently posting member (featherzRN) completed 50 credits in less than 6 months.

I did several classes at a time, but that's just me. I probably didn't need to do that. I would work on a 'test' class before work and write papers in the evening. 37 credits would be definitely doable - certainly within a year, also possible in a term if you have the time to devote. As others have said in various threads, try to get the community health stuff done as soon as you can, as that would be the class that takes the longest. :)
