My mother in law was in her first semester of NS in the ED watching a patient role in, when the doctor pointed at her and said, "You! Start performing CPR!l"
So she freaked internally but started doing it while singing "Staying Alive" like she practiced in class, haha. They get a pulse and everyone gathers around her, telling her how great a job she did, and how she just saved a life, when a woman runs in and tells everybody that's her mon and has a DNR. So...the lady died about an hour later, anyway.
But it definitely helped conquer some of her fear of dealing with crazy situations!
