How soon is it recommended or best to take a workshop once eligible? I was hoping to take Sheri Taylor's workshop but am not sure if it's best to wait until just before CPNE date or to do it right away then study based off of it? Any input would be great :)

I have not taken the on-site workshop, but have been diving into her online workshop material. Personally, I'm glad I waited until:
Also don't forget the textbook publishers' websites for their free videos and such on skills, if you have the access code. I particularly like the one for our Fundamentals of Nursing book. I didn't care for the CD that came with the book, but the online content was great!
My opinion is to go into the workshop with a solid foundation of knowledge about the CPNE and study guide so you can focus on a lot of the smaller things that might bite you during the actual exam. Sorry I don't have any advise specifically for her on-site workshops.
Hope it helps!
Thanks! :)

I just finished her on-site workshop. I don't have a clinical date yet, although everything has been approved. My preference was to attend after reading over the content guide for CPNE because I found it to be overwhelming and was not sure where to begin my studying or really how or what to study. I now have my own plan of attack for studying. It was very much simplified in her workshop so I find it to be much more doable now! For me this was the way to go, before I have a set date. I can always do her online as time draws closer if I need it. I have a good base to organize my study now. I didn't want to learn a bunch of different ways and learn something the wrong way. I will just stick to Sheri's method. Hope this helps! Everyone has their own learning style.
