i just (whhhooooped) nc 5:sasq:, well in all reality it almost whhoooped me but still a c = cpne for me....

i am done done done... no more theory exams for me...

Congrats!!! Welcome aboard the CPNE Slow Train. I applied for the CPNE on 1/5/08 here are some suggestions for the app. proccess

1. It took 2 weeks to update my staus.

2. Order your study guide now if you haven't already. You will get a CD with 500+ pages of info take it to a Kinkos and have it printed and bound.

3. Background check took 2 days

4. If applying online, forms cannont be in a PDF format. JPG works and some others but I cant recall them. If you have issues with this like I did you can fax the info after you apply it takes about 24 hours for them to get it in and 24 hours for them to approve or reject it.

5. The wait to get an Test date is 4-6 months total wait time to test is 7-9 months.:o I got this info from an email EC sent me after I applied.

I took my final test on 10/17 and they updated me on 10/26. But I didn't have my doctor's appointment until November 6, so that was the day I ended up applying. I had all my stuff done before then. You can do the background check now and get that out of the way. If you're testing in Texas it should only be $12 for the background check.

Let me know if you have any problems converting PDFs to JPGs -- I can help you with that. :) I have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, not just the reader. One of the benefits of being a part-time desktop publisher! LOL

this is what i have done so far..

1) did my background check 1/11/08

2) got a new cpr card this week - aha health care provider

3) got tb today

4) i have the money on my mastercard ready to go

5) i have the form for the physical but not sure if it's the right one. will go to care now or something and have physical - have all immunizations done.

6) got my skills bag

7) will attend the lynns workshop 1/22 and 1/23

8) plan to get photo monday-

so i am just waiting to update
