COVID-19: UV-Sterilization For Reuse of N95 Respirators

Has anyone’s hospital considered testing the effectiveness of UV-light Sterilization for reusing PPE? These machines are sold in various sizes, perhaps if each floor had one we could be sterilizing N95 masks between uses.

We had a discussion in the ED last night about that-again-So far...discussion only. Has been discussed for several weeks. Answers from above seems to be “crickets”

Not yet, but rationing and certain PPE under lock and key is in full effect. More “r/o covid” last night than anything else. To me the most concerning thing was hearing all the stories from the EMT crews of having to share PPE. Also noticing a slow but I believe building trend of LTC/SNF etc rejecting patients after hospital D/C. That could get ugly really fast
