Cosmetic procedures office RN

Published

Hi all.

I am a new grad RN in California. I have an interview coming up at a cosmetic procedures office. My responsibilities would be:

* Pre and Post Op care

* Laser Hair Removal

* Laser Skin Rejuvenation Procedures

* Botox & Fillers injections

I have no idea what is the hourly pay for something like this... I am sure they will aks me at the interview. So if anyone knows, please let me know...Thanks a bunch.

I have no clue either, but that is exactly where I would want to work. I am already a licensed esthetician so that would be a great fit, I can't wait until I am done with Nursing School. Good luck on your interview!

I'm also a licensed esthetician and managed a large LHR facility where injectables ( we did not do surgical procedures) were preformed by the RN that worked there. Her hourly wage was either $145 per hour or $175 per hour. I can't recall exactly. She ONLY did the injections -- no LHR no SR (the estheticians did that). She also had about 10 years' experience so you have to factor that in. Hope that helps a little.

Specializes in Certified Med/Surg tele, and other stuff.

How cow! I can't even imagine how much I would make. Of course at my age, I probably would be spending it all at work.:lol2:

NO you would not have spent a dime LOL! the procedures LHR/SR/ST and the botox/ fillers WERE FREE for the RN and for management! ;) Staff, like the technicians, had to pay only for the products themselves which for botox was only $12 per unit! :)

ok... not hijacking here... carry on! :D

I have no answer for the OP, but where the heck do you get a job like that?!? :D

It was for a large nationwide company -- and I believe she found us on Monster.com :)

Specializes in ER.

Wow, at our office, the laser/cosmetic nurses make an embarrassingly amount less than that, maybe 25/hr?......and this is a large board certified center.

Considering what botox cost, and the fact that it takes minutes to inject...how would the company make any money?

Seriously, just curious

The RN is not there FT; only once or twice a week. The clinic probably sells about 20k - 30k per month in injectibles the other 70k - 80k in LHR/SR/ST , etc.

I think I would fly to Cali once a week to make $145 an hour.

LOL I can't blieve you said this! I was actually thinking the same thing this morning and trying to calculate how much I'd need to make to make it worth the trip!
