Copper MOuntain College Joshua Tree Ca

Published

Hello, I've recently moved here to Joshua Tree Ca with my now husband, because he is stationed here at the Marine base. I'm looking into continuing school here. The closest college/universities seems to be copper mountain college. I've been researching and have found that the wait list for the nursing school has been GROWING. Just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers about the school, the waiting list for the nursing school( how difficult is it to be admitted?) anything would help! Thanks!

Also is there any other schools less then 1 hour away that offer a nursing program?

I am starting my 3rd semester in the RN program at copper mountain and have nothing but good things to say about the program. The wait list is not bad at all. I got accepted but waitlisted the first time I applied. If you are waitlisted you have your spot for the following year. Other colleges have a much longer waitlist. The teachers are awesome and very nice. I was worried because I had heard a lot of stories about horrible teachers that make you feel dumb. I like the school its self because it is small and everyone has been really friendly. Also college of the desert in palm desert has a nursing program and is about an hour away. If you have any more questions I. Can help with feel free to ask

Thank you for that info! How difficult was the TEAS exam? did you purchase a book to study from for the exam? How did your grades look for your prerequisites when you applied? do you have a rough estimate of how many people applied when you applied? Sorry for all the questions!

The teas was not to bad at all, very basic math and english. The science was a little difficult because it covered a lot of areas. Cmc uses a predictor of sucess score to get accepted. I had good grades in my sciences 2 A's and a B. In other classes I had some C's. English, sociology, and general pysch. (Classes I had taken many years earlier) I am not sure how many applied but I know the waitlist was not long. Some that were waitlisted emded up getting in the same year.
