Hello. I am looking to apply to the CT State Community College - Capital Nursing program for the 2025-2026 semester! I have completed the required pre-req's for admission, and completing additional core but not required courses (Ex. A&P II) when the Fall semester opens next week. I'm likely going to apply to more than one selective admissions program to be sure I follow the destiny meant for me.
I'm wondering what everyone's stats are as we all are getting ready to apply to the selective admissions program. Mine are...
A&PI : A
TEAS: 79.3%
Nursing GPA: 3.7
Happy studying, and selective admissions application time fellow students!! I hope this thread proves to be as productive as others have in years past 🙂

I emailed the nursing director and this is what she said....
Congratulations on your acceptance to the nursing program!
The nursing 1120 class is held on Mondays OR Wednesdays depending on the one you register for.
For Mondays-class is 9:30-3:30 with a Tuesdays & Wednesdays nursing lab from 8:00-4:00 pm (nursing lab is for the first six weeks of the semester, then students are assigned to the hospital facility)
For Wednesdays-class 9:30-3:30 with a Thursday & Friday nursing lab from 8:00-4:00 pm. (nursing lab is for the first six weeks of the semester, then students are assigned to the hospital facility).
After the first six weeks, students are assigned to a clinical facility for the remainder of the semester. If you register for a Monday class, you could be assigned Tuesday & Wednesday day shift from 6:30 am-3:00 pm OR Tuesday & Wednesday evening shift from 1:30-2:00 until 9:30-10:00 pm. OR Saturday and Sunday day shift 6:30-3:00 pm.
The clinical coordinator determines students' clinical placement based on a survey results (sent to students at the beginning of the fall semester) and what the facilities approve. You can enter in the survey that you are unable to be assigned to a weekend clinical (the majority of students are assigned clinical on weekdays). Clinical placements vary from semester to semester and are not guaranteed to meet the needs of childcare and/or employment.

Thank you so much for this!

You can take it while in nursing, but it recommended you take before. I was going to take it fall 2025, but now I will take it for Summer 2025.
Actually I just checked and I did not see it offered, but I was wondering if I took micro fully online this Summer, if it would be transferable for when I go for my bachelors. I heard schools may not accept labs that were taken online but I'm not sure which schools that is or where I could find that information or if anyone already happens to know that info, thank you!

does anyone know if last year people dropped from Northwestern? I feel like it's slim since they only allow 32 sets. I am #4 and hoping I some how get a chance in the program.
