I don't know much about this school just that it's a smaller program than NVCC I saw they take about 30 something students. I am just going based on their schedule they have on commnet for NUR 101

Yes, I am on the wait list for TRCC. #7

Any idea how many they usually take off the list?

I keep on hearing it all depends on who gets off. The have taken people up in 20s before. One of my workers said the year she applied they took only up to 12. And that was like maybe 5 year back. I'm afraid even being under 10.

Ugh it's so stressful I noticed they usually call the first two weeks in May anyone who is on the waitlist based on the other threads.

The list goes by rank. But they can call you up to the beginning of spring. Life happens and some people have to turn down their spots.

I am Number 16 at TRCC . I highly doubt I will make it. Its so frustrating to work so hard and not get in. Time for plan B I guess. I wish it was all by ranking and not a % from lottery.

16 is a good number it's under 20. And I agree it should be a 100% by rank if you think about it 24 people got in by lottery I am number 7 in rank I would of had to seat and you would have had a seat being number 16.

Be great if the Community Colleges here went off a point system.
Have a bachelor's degree 2 points, associate 1 point. Are an LPN 2 points. Have healthcare experience over 2 yrs 2 points. Volunteer 1 point. Have a 4.0 GPA 4 points 3.0 3 points and so forth.

Then max points be 30 those students get in.

Also be great if there was a true evening/weekend community college program and part time.

Be great if the program had rolling admission dates for Fall and Spring.

The way it is set up is not great.

Have you applied to STCC in Springfield? I'm not sure if it's a point system exactly, but having certain things will improve your application (previous degree, healthcare experience, completed co-reqs, good GPA, etc.).

Have any schools started to move down the wait list yet? I have tried calling the contact person at my school but he is never in. I have left a message but no response yet.

You most likely won't find out until after May 1st when he has gotten back all the forms from admitted students if they are accepting their seat or not. his secretary called all accepted students stating he is being bombarded with emails and calls so save our questions until the mandatory meeting in May. Hope this helps, and good luck!
