Hey everyone!

I just graduated from my nursing program, I’m so excited! I signed up to take the NCLEX in NY state, but I may try to move to FL in the next few months. Do I have to take a specific NCLEX exam for FL if even I take NCLEX in NY...? I’m not too sure how this all works. Thank you so much for reading!

Moved to NCLEX forum.

NCLEX is a national exam. It is the same exam regardless of where you take it. What is important is the state where you applied for licensure. If you applied for licensure by exam in NY, that's where your license will come from. If you do move to FL, then you would need to apply for licensure by endorsement. If you were definitely moving to FL, it would be wise to save some steps and money and simply apply for licensure by exam in FL, forgoing NY completely. However, since it doesn't seem like a definite, I'd get licensed where you currently live if you plan to find a job.
