I want to get into the concurrent program with UCF, hopefully around Fall of 2012. This is my last semester at SSC before I get my AA. Just to be sure, is the deadline to apply for Fall 2012: Dec. 1 - Feb. 15?? I need to plan accordingly since I have to take my TEAS test a second time!
Also, I have not taken any of the following: (Principles of Microeconomics (ECO 2013), Principles of Macroeconomics (ECO 2023) or American National Government (POS 2041). Will this affect my entrance into the concurrent program? I went to the nursing session a while back when I was very unsure whether to take the RN generic route or the concurrent program...now I know I want to do the BSN route!
I also just realized that this program in offered at the Altamonte campus (far) and they offer online classes (I much rather have live classes) Is there anyway to attend directly to the UCF campus, only having my "SSC AA degree"? How long will it take if I go directly to UCF vs. doing the concurrent program? Also, should I apply to both the RN generic track and the BSN track?
I'm nervous about the whole situation!...Thinking about how I will manage to accomplish the nursing school while working...!! ETC... I will really appreciate any thoughts. :redbeathe

Panda,
First of all, those 3 classes you mentioned are not required for the concurrent program if you will have your AA before you apply. You do have the option of just applying to the UCF nursing program, however it is extremely competitive. Minimum GPA is around 3.8 the last time I checked.
The deadline for fall at SSC A.S. or concurrent is Feb 21- Mar 2 according to SSC's website.
As far as the campus it is indeed at the Altamonte campus. UCF offers on campus classes at Altamonte the first semester or so. After that, everything is online.
I suggest that since you are confused about your options that you attend another info session. I have been to 3 since I started school 3 years ago.
i applied for Spring 2012 concurrent and didn't make it. I am an alternate but I havent received a call yet. I will be re-applying again in Feb. for Fall of 2012.
Thank you so much for your response and good luck! I hope you get in soon! :)

I'll send my application for Fall 2012 this week! I just wish I got an answer right away!
Ha! I know the feeling. You should have an answer about 4 weeks after the deadline. Good luck!
