There are several threads on this subject where people share their exact points. I got into the transition program where the point system is a bit different. The point cut off varies each application period based on how many apply and how good their points are. Generally, North Harris accpets the most students and therefore they have a bit lower cutoff, I think in the past it has been in the 11.2 range. Kingwood and Montgomery are often in the 11.4 and higher range. Check out some of the other threads for peoples exact points and whether or not they are accepted. Keep in mind many alternates end up being accepted each semester so being just below the cut off doesn't mean you won't get in.

Thanks Mody, I have read the threads. I just wanted to give an idea to those of us who will apply this summer. Just want to know where we stand with each other. I guess its just a case of being nervous. I appreciate your reply, and thanks for the info.

Which school has an application period this summer? North Harris, Cy-Fair and Montgomery are applying now and Kingwood applies in the Fall. Maybe the application period has changed?

CyFair has their Spring dates June -July on the website. I don't know about past application periods or other schools. So I will apply then.

Aren't u in the nursing program now?

Are you asking me if I'm in the nursing program?? If so then yes, I graduate this summer. Other people on this site are talking about submitting their Cy-Fair applications now. It would suck to miss the application period and have to wait another year, thats why I mentioned it.

Yes, I was asking, Congrats. I was aware of the dates thats why I started off by saying I was applying this summer. Once again, thanks and good luck as a future nurse. I will not be ready to apply until June.

Hey there. I am taking AP2 right now and upon completion will be applying to Lonestar Cy-fair for the Spring 10 program which I believe is the same one you will be applying to. I have not taken the HESI yet and will have 7.5 points before the HESI. I took the NET test for UT and scored well on the reading which is all that Lonestar counts from the HESI, so I feel pretty confident about it. My goal is to have 11.5 points. Unfortunately I have Bs is both Psych and AP1 (missed making an A by one stinking point) but I will have all correqs completed with the exception of the one hour PE class. The stinking thing is it totally depends on the levels of everyone that is applying the same time we are. We might get lucky and find that the average point total is 11 and thus increase our chances at getting accepted.

Anyway, good luck!

Hi Bebe

Looks like we will be there together. In the meantime, lets just keep each other encouraged. Maybe those who are already in nursing school will give us needed inspiration. I am studying the Hesi now, so I can be R E A D Y! I only want to know what our competition has, b/c it does not matter what pass applicants made. They are already in school, nor does it matter what those who applied this time had. Hopefully, we will all make it this summer. Just trying to make sure everything is in order.

See you at orientation.....lol( very premature, but have to remain optimistic)

Jagtag:

Will you have all your coreqs done? Are you taking any classes right now? Have you already done your immunizations and or CPR?

I got anxious so I only have one more immunization and I completed my CPR class last month. I am basically trying to do every possible thing I can in the mean time. I'm soooooooooooooo ready to be in a program already.

I am taking AP2 ,psych l&d, spch 1318. already completed my shots, and cpr....just as anxious as you.

Thats why I started this thread, so we may know. Its obvious what others have accomplished according to previous threads, but that doesn't concern us.

Hopefully, we will be fine. Oh, and I responded to your request.
