Would I still be considered if only one prerequisite is less than a B? My others are all A's.

Hi ghazal123, the decisions for the 2019 cohort have yet to be released so a majority of us on this forum have not been accepted. However, from what I have read in forums regarding this program, most accepted students have As and Bs in their prerequisites. It is a minimum requirement for admission. If I were you I would either do my best to bring up the grade (semester is still not over) or consider retaking the course at a community college. If you are truly interested in applying it would be a shame for one course to hold you back.

I'm pretty sure the requirements is you must get a B or above in all your prerequisites. Most of my cohort had strong grades coming in.

does Columbia or NYU look down upon on online classes? I was originally taking it at Pace but I am a visiting student and the class just filled up.

Hey iliketruffles! If you don't mind me asking, have you decided what you're going to do about NYU or Columbia? And How come you're leaning more towards Columbia? Just curious!

Hi, I mean both are great programs. Pros for NYU is that it starts earlier so we end earlier. Reason I want Columbia putting aside the program is that its an ivy league school, its also a masters degree. I would rather go to Columbia because we are essentially paying the same tuition for NYU/Columbia. Might as well get most of our money for masters degree and the name.

Im waiting on Stony Brook's decision which program starts in June, had an interview 2 weeks ago, which might effect my decision for NYU. But for now I am going to enroll in NYU since its the only "safety line" I have now. I called Columbia admission regarding my situation and they say its ok to start NYU for a week and withdraw to attend Columbia. I would be losing 25% of my refund from NYU but in the end I think its worth it cuz of what you get in Columbia.

I'm applying to NYU also, but for the September 2019 start! I'm also leaning towards Columbia because it offers a Master's in 15 months vs a BSN in 15 mos. Anyone know what the tuition for the NYU ABSN/how many semesters the program is? I've been trying to find the total price, but there's only semester costs.

Also just out of curiosity- who else here applied for the Family Nursing specialty at Columbia?
