Columbia DNP with 3.3 GPA?

Published

I'm currently in my 3rd semester of the ABSN at NYU and will be finishing December 2022. I know it's a bit early to be thinking about doing a DNP program but here we are.  I'll most likely finish this semester with a 3.3 GPA after 3 As and one B (curse you A&E/Med-Surg 3). The first two sequences were super difficult for me but I manage to pull my GPA back up. Hopefully, if I do good in my last semester I'll end with a high 3.4 GPA.

I wanted to know if this would affect me applying to Columbia's Pediatric or Midwifery program (got As in both classes). It's my dream school. If you have any information that can help me PLEASE send it my way. If you were accepted to a DNP program at Columbia commenting your GPA would be super helpful as well and hopefully reassuring.

You'll probably be fine but I would caution spending 120k+ on an NP Program even if it is a dream school. Prestige for NP school isn't the same as undergrad...
