ER Nurse pay Denver

I am interviewing for lots of ER nurse jobs in Denver. I have 10 yrs of experience with pediatric and adult ER nursing. I have my CEN plus the usual Pals, ACLS, tncc and NRP. I am currently enrolled in an MSN program.

What should I expect for hourly pay?

Who works in Denver as an ER nurse? What do you make?

In my experience, ER doesn't pay any differently than any other specialty. With 10 years of experience, I would guess that your base hourly wage would probably be in the $34-37/hour range.

Hopefully you aren't going through sticker shock! Denver as a whole pays a lot less compared to other large metro areas. When I moved here from Arizona, I took a pay cut of about $4/hour.

Yeah Denver pay is bad. They have a good angle. Everyone wants to move here. I made about 30 with 4 years experience.

As a new graduate, I started making $24.78/hour, not including my BSN differential ($0.50/hour) and nights/weekend differential. My facility paid $1/hour for certifications as well.

Moving facilities, I jumped up to about $26.75 with one year of experience, no BSN differential or certification differential.

Different facilities pay for BSN and certs, and some don't.
