I just heard that Colorado, and 20 other states are leaving the Compact. Does anyone know why?

It's not that 21 states are leaving the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Rather, as 26 states have enacted the enhanced NLC (eNLC), an implementation date of 19 Jan 2018 has been establshed. A number of, though not all, of the original NLC, as well as a few states that were not members of the NLC are members of the eNLC. As of yet CO has not enacted legislation to join.

Thanks you two. I have since learned that CO has in fact started legislation to join the e compact. However, we have a part time legislature so they can't address it until January.
