Collin College spring 2012 Hopefuls

Hi everyone I couldnt find a thread for Collin college spring 2012 so I thought I would start one. Im so excited, this is actually my 3rd time applying but this time I raised my PSB score and retook 1 class. I know retaking a class is bad but I had to since I had a C, I now have an A in that class. My over all score is a 14. I heard all 15 and 16 got in last semester and some 14 I hope that I will be one of those 14! I know they consider a few other things like residency, where you took your classes, and your PSB score. I took most my classse at collin, live in collin and got a 6 on my PSB. Do you guys think I have a shot? I hope so! I cant wait, does anyone know when we get the letters? I think its the 1st or 2nd week of septembre but im not sure. Anyways Good luck everyone!:nurse:

Hi! :) I've been looking for a thread for the spring 2012 start! I'm glad you made one. I think they take 4-6 weeks to send the letters, so at the latest they would start sending them the 2nd week of September. I think you have a good shot with 14 points! The PSB is very important, I've been told many times, and since you maxed that out that is awesome! I'm applying with 15 points, because I'm still in Micro right now (only 2 weeks left.. oh how I wish I had that point!) I'll keep my fingers crossed we both get in! The waiting is already driving me crazy!

Hello All!

I have also applied for the Spring 2012 semester. I applied for the Fall-2011 with a 14 and was wait-listed. This time I am applying with a 15. Cdrouin89, I think you have a pretty good chance! I have a friend who also applied for the Fall with a 14 and received a phone call last month to begin the program!! I hope that we all make it in and I get to meet you!! I cannot wait until letters come!! Thanks so much for starting this thread!! Good luck!! :)

Well since not many people messaged on here im gonna cross my fingers not to many people applied haha. Does anyone know when we get letters?!?!? Im hoping this week haha but I don't think that will happen! Any ideas?

Yeah I'm hoping the same thing!! I believe letters come the second week of September!! It's almost time!! I am about ready to jump out of my skin! C'mon!! :p

Looking back at past forums, everyone started getting their letters around the 15th.. so at the most we have 13 more long days of waiting!! I am driving myself and everyone around me crazy because it is all I can think about! lol

By Sept 15, I should have a full blown ulcer and only a few tufts of hair left on my head.

Thanks for making this thread! I have been waiting to find one for Spring 2012! I applied for Fall 2011 with 14 points and was put on the wait list in the top 20. I did hear however that last application period was received the most amount of applications they have ever seen! So I think with you having 14 points and a 6 on the PSB (awesome job!!) you have a really great chance of getting in! I was able to bring up my pre-req GPA so I applied for Spring with 15 points. This has been such a long process and I am SOOOO ready for this next chapter! My birthday is actually the 15th so hopefully this will be a birthday to remember for good reasons! Good luck to the rest of you also! Hopefully we all make it! :yeah:

I know I am driving everyone crazy also I just cant wait anymore... Last time I didnt anticipate it because I didnt feel too good about it and this time I feel much better so Im DIEING!!! I keep bugging my parents, bf, friends, and co-workers bet there sick of me haha. But they said 4-6 weeks and this is the 6th week *cross my fingers* I really hope we get it by MONDAY!!!! I can no longer wait! Ive applied to 3 schools and none have given me answers yet.. even though last year they responded around september 7 and 10!

So I just called and they said they would be sending out letters towards the end of this week!!!! Hopefully we get them by saturday!!!

well, i think i will stop lurking around and introduce myself! ;) i have applied for the spring 2012 semester as well, and i am really surprised that there are not more posts on this thread! when i turned in my application package, i was able to put it out of my mind and not dwell on it, but this week i'm all nerves! i'm going to feel like charlie in "charlie and the chocolate factory" with his chocolate bar when my letter comes. full of anticipation...it could hold my "golden ticket" or be a huge disappointment. :p i'm trying so hard to study and focus this week, but my mind keeps wandering to my mailbox. thank you, cdrouin89, for calling and finding out that they will be mailing them later this week! good luck to us all!

This past spring, they mailed letters on Friday. Most of us received them on Tuesday, but a few didn't arrive until Wednesday. It was torture!! Good luck to all of you.
