College of Mainland in Texas City

Has anyone applied for College of Mainland nursing program for Fall 2015?

I'm the late bird! Lol. I'm going to take the TSI tomorrow and turn in everything at COM. I took the day off of work to go there and get things done so hopefully this all works in my favor and I get accepted! I'm glad to hear they accept more students in the fall and that they respond fairly quick on acceptances :)

@trinatrt yes I have done everything except get my CPR card but they told me I didn't have to have it just yet but need it before our first clinical...I'm excited I have a good feeling

I've completed everything except for CPR, I'll do that sometime in May. I think I'm gonna call tomorrow just to check on everything and make sure I'm good. My score was 413.2, what about you guys❓

I wish someone had told me about this list for the Health Assessment class, I'm just finding out right now, grrrrr!!!!! I even went to their info session and all and I was never inormed

Did you calculate your own score or they advised you of it? I hope to find mine out tomorrow.

I don't understand why we cant get on the list. What if some of those people decide not to take the class? I've heard that health assessment is a difficult class so it would be a huge relief to take it alone

@olganava Yea a few proe aren't too happy about it. I saw in a previous thread that the class is very tough as well so everyone rushes to take it during summer instead of during the program. The class should not be available until students are accepted. What if some of those students that signed up aren't accepted?

How do i calculate my own score?

My score was 415. I think she said the highest score would be 450 if you had all the possible points.

Forshia the ladies in the nursing department can calculate from there point system and let you know your score. That's how I found out.

I calculated it myself, it shows you how on the ADN information sheet

@trinatrt how did you know what score to use for gpa? I see how everything else but that is calculated.
