Hi everyone, I am currently doing research work at a hospital and I am just wondering if it is a requirement to become a CNA before getting into nursing school or will my experience be enough? Also, before all of this I also have been waitress for years now. Thanks

If it is necessary, can you tell me the CNA programs in Boston and your experience in the program.

No, it is not a requirement. I am a nurse and was never officially a CNA... though I did work as one one summer.

Not needed or required. Would it help? Maybe....

I did the CNA program at the Red Cross in Cambridge in 2009. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. If anything, it will help decide if nursing is something you really want to pursue and you will be a little bit ahead of your classmates when you start your first nursing school clinical.

Good luck!
