CNA is this the right path?

I am currently at a local community college taking pre reqs towards nursing, and recently came across CNA/CPR training offered by the Red Cross in my area of MA here is the link...

the program costs about a $1200 not sure if that is worth it for this?? but everything is included scrubs equipment everything, Is this a good idea to get a feel for what Nursing is about, I wont be able to start Nursing School until next Fall and don't want to be sitting around for a year forgetting all my Anatomy and not doing anything... But I do have a few questions and that is what jobs did you CNA's get right after certification is there a possibility for me to work overnight at hospital after? also did any of you encounter any "hazing/bullying" being new and all, Thank you!
