Hi, everyone I'm new here and am currently researching becoming a CNA. I'm so thankful for this message board. I now know why there are CNA shortages, it's next to impossible to find resources/steps to becoming one. I have not gone to CNA school yet, I'm 8 mo. Pregnant with my second and have to wait till I can lift 50lbs. So in the meantime I was going to take a medical terminology course and a BLS course in hopes of "beefing" up my resume after I get CNA certified. I would like to get into a hospital after graduating and know this is a challenge. So is there other things I can do to help my chances? I'm a veteran and changing my career so I have 10 years working experience just 0 healthcare experience. Thanks!!!
Oh I forgot to mention I'm located in eastern Pennsylvania area. I know location dictates a lot.
