I am a new CNA and going to work at the hospice for overnight shift. I concern about how to handle the body if pts pass away at night. As I am not an American, I really do not have an idea ,so my question may be weired.
- What the CNA have to do after pts pass away?
- Are they come pick up the body at night?
- How long they will come pick up the body?
- If I need to do post mortem care, is it ok if I ask for help?
- I am scare of the dead body. If I work for awhile I will get use to it?
I know that work at the hospice as a new cna may not be a good idea but I really want to help others. My instructor recommended me to this place and she thought my personality will fit well overthere. Please give me some advice! :)

You should get most of these questions answered by your supervisor.
Hopefully you will get used to end of life issues, I did.
