1. So my left wrist has been hurting for awhile and I finally got it looked at last night. I was diagnosed with tendonitis and put on lifting restrictions for a week. I went to work with my note and was taken off the schedule until I'm healed. I understand it I'm just so frustrated!!!

    I can understand some of your frustration. I can understand lost wages, but you certainly don't want to risk further injury.

    Basically, it all boils down to a "OK to return to work" note from your HCP. It is important that you follow your discharge instructions for a good recovery.

    I'm guessing that you expected to be placed on 'light duty' while at work. That doesn't occur unless an injury actually occurred 'on the job' to be a worker's compensation case. Your employer is NOT obligated to sched you for 'LD' since you don't comment that you hurt yourself while working.

    While tendonitis may have been worsened by your job responsibilities, it could have been caused by other various factors.

    If you're out of work for an extended length of time, file for short term disability benefits from your state if eligible.
