prn as cna

  1. I just got a fulltime job at a doctors office that has strange hours plus taking 2 classes during the week. I just passed my CNA test and want to get a job at the hospital. At the office I work 5 days a week. If I work Fri. I get Sat. off and if I work Sat. I get Fri. off. I want to know if it is possible to work PRN or parttime as a CNA if I'm only available the 2 days. I really want the extra money to pay on my debts. Also I've only been working at the office for 2 weeks and want to get as much experience there but I work a receptionist/medical records job. I don't want to quit but I'm worried about letting my Certification go to waste. Do you think it would be wrong to work 6-9 months at this job and then ask them to make me parttime so I can do the CNA thing too. There are other people there who were fulltime then went to part time because of school I guess because the hours are just odd. I'd like my job and even though it is sometimes scary because I'm new and clueless I think its a great experience. I am so confused about what I should do as you can see. If you have any advice or insight please help me. Thanks
