I'm looking to be RN n the college wants me to have a current or expire CNA license, I'll be happy to do it I just wonder how much gets paid a CNA who is starting. I live in Utah.

Specializes in alzheimers, hospice, dialysis.

for in home caregivers in the bay area most places pay $11/hr but it can vary, sometimes like $14/hr. working in a hospital, i think it's about $16 ish.

I make 12.78 and shift differential at A SNF in the Sacramento area. I get union dues taken out of my check though so it almost even outs to less lol. I also am a new CNA like 6 months experience in the type of work

Specializes in DD, Mental Health, Geriatric.

I am an NAR haven't been certified yet and I make $9.50 an hour at an AFH. Of everyone working there, even the owner, only one caregiver is a CNA the rest are like me registered but not certified. The resident manager gets 11$ an hour cause she's has more responsibility. I live in Spokane, Washington btw.

I would look for job postings on employment websites. Often they list the pay rates. You will also get an idea where to go first for work.

I make 18.50 in nj in a hospital. Not certified.

$8.60 an hour, hospital in Louisiana. And that's for night shift. Day shift is only $7.97 an hour. A crying shame, really.

I make $13 and some change With shift differential during night shift. I also get ETO, paid Sick leave, bereavement, 401K, Comp time, Paid holidays/overtime, health/dental/eye insurance and I earned a nursing scholarship. I've been a CNA/MA for 5 years this September.
