C.N.A. to Restorative Aide?

  1. Has anyone taken this route? How long were you a CNA before becoming a RA? Did you like the move? What are the responsibilities of an RA?

    Thank you

I was a CNA for 6 short months then received training to be a restorative aide. I worked as a restorative aide for 11 years until May of 2007 when I became a RN. It is wonderful area of nursing that is extremely important. It offers so much more to the patient's quality of life. It also allows much autonomy and the ability to develop critical thinking. Good luck if you pursue it! It will be well worth it!
