Hi all!
I am a senior BSN nursing student, and recently found out that I am eligible to challenge the CMA exam (due to having my CNA and passing pharmacology). I would like to do this to be able to work as a CMA during my last year of nursing school and get some more experience.
I am scheduled to take the exam next month, I am confident on meds, A&P, medical procedures, but I am feeling a little shaky on the office assistant parts. I picked up a test prep book and have been scouring the internet but there isn't nearly as much out there as for something like the NCLEX. Does anyone have any suggestions on what parts to really study for, or online preps, etc?
If this question has already been asked and I didn't see it, please feel free to point me to those posts!

It's been a while since I took the test and I have quite a few books I used to study from but if I remember correctly the most helpful ended up being Q & A review medical assistant. By Tom Palko, Hilda Palko.
There are just a lot of really weird questions that can have nothing to do with the medical field. Like knowing how much ahead of your flight you need to be at the air port. I'm assuming they think we are going to be reminding the Dr when they need to leave for a flight, I assume that's what doctors spouses are for and not in the scope of practice of a CMA but I'm wrong.
