Mustard footbaths....must have missed that one in skills lab!
I like that Acceptability to Patient, Sense of Humor, and Imagination were graded!
I love seeing stuff like this! Good to know they actually had a sense of humor back then. They always seem to make things in the past seem so serious
I have a vintage edition of State Board review, I found this folded up in it. I'll have to post some pictures from that. Some very interesting questions about how to make a turpentine enema...

This stuff is awesome. Keep posting! So fascinating.
It really is priceless. Cool that this site allows uploads from ones computer. I wonder how Catherine A Webster's life played out?

My grandmother used to rub mustard on our feet, place saran wrap over them and then put socks on our feet when we had a fever! Who knew? I thought it was an old wives tale.
The language used in that book's treatise of enemata is so formal, so very different than writing today. I just love it. I had no idea that the plural of enema is not enemas (which makes total sense...stigmata, scotomata, etc).
Did you notice how common a treatment alcohol rubs were? To bring down a temp, I'm thinking?
