Hi Guys! I am in pri-clinical nursing prgm now in KBCC, CUNY. they told me I gotta wait one more semester to get inot clinical b/c of the few number of seats available in the clinical and b/c it's very competitive. anyways, what I need to know is that if I met all the pre clinical and have very good GPA , is there any school in NY that directly accepts to the clinical? I am talking about A.S. degree, not B.S and I don want 4 year college as I am international student and tuition gonna cost me twice. I'll appreciate your help and any info concerning that. I made research on net, but there can be a school that I missed. Thank you !!!!!

Private nursing school prgrams generally do not have the long wait list to attend. Since youre already going to kingsboro, im assuming youre in brooklyn. I went to Lich's school of nursing which is also in brooklyn. You can check them out. Their program is designed that you can take all their liberal arts requirement courses at the same time as the nursing courses so its a two year program
hey !
is Lich's school division of Beth Israel school of nursing? cause, I can't find the actual web site of Lich's particularly, thanx
LICH is part of the continuum which is a branch of hospitals that also includes beth isreal. But its a completely different school than the one at BI. The hospitals web site is lich.org but the nursing school doesnt have their own web site.. Call the nursing school, 718 780 1952, they will answer any questions you may have and can send you an application. The hospital courses are taken at the school itself which is on court st and any liberal arts classes are done at St francis college which is on remsen st. The clinical portion is obviously done at long island college hospital which is on hicks st/henry st. Any other info I can help you with be sure to ask or you can call the # i listed.

How is my alma mater, LICH? I graduated from there in September of 1975, when it was still a diploma program. It converted to an ADN program in the class that started the September that I graduated. We went to school for two calender years, and that is why we graduated in September. We did not have summers off. We took our college classes at St. Francis College on Remsen Street. I have often wonderd how my classmated have faired over the years.
I moved to California in 1979. I lived there for ten years, went back to school at Cal State Long Beach, and earned my BSN. I met my husband, who was in the Air Force, got married and moved to Spokane, Washington, where I now live. Do you work at LICH? I know that many of my classmates were still working there, and I would love to get in touch with them. If you think about it, could you pass the word around that I would like to get in tough with them? My maiden name was, "Pignataro". Thanks.
