Anyone that has completed the program, passed NCLEX please let me know how was your acutal work experience after? Did you feel prepared to adaquately take care of your patients? I have been asked this over and over -- how do you prepare your self clinically?

Some people enter distance learning programs after having completed more than half of a traditional program, such as myself. Clinical experience came from that traditional program, which was poor at best. My clinical abilities evolved from work experience, not what I got from any nursing school.

When i started working as a LPN, there were alot of things I never got to do during clinicals, I felt like my real learning came when I passed NCLEX and actually started working. I did a couple semesters of a traditional RN program and it seemed like most of our clinical hrs. were sitting in a conference room studying or working on care plans.
