Clinical Placement in an ACE unit

Published

Hello allNurses,

Today I got the news of my clinical placement, which is on an ACE unit. I just started my sophomore year, so the only experience I have is CNA duties in a nursing home which we attended in my clinical last semester. My question is, What are some things I will find on this unit and what concepts should I look up now so I can better understand the types of patients I'll be caring for?

Any advice would be helpful, I have zero hospital experience.

Thank You :)

I'm sorry but I don't know what an ACE unit is? Can you elaborate?

Oh okay - is this in the US? I've just never heard of it and will be glad to move your post to a more appropriate forum....
