Allergy or Normal Reaction?

  1. How do you separate a "normal reaction" to bee venom from and allergic reaction? The concept of being "allergic" to a venom has always mystified me. Isn't it implied that a person will react to a venom? ...just some more profoundly than others...?

    From Mayo Clinic.

Can we ask is this in reference to a patient, family member, yourself?

Is there a 'normal' reaction to a bee sting? I'd consider no reaction at all 'abnormal'. From there on out, a small wheal to anaphylaxis is 'normal'.
