I'm looking into doing CLEP for Chemistry right now and I'm pretty sure you need 50/75 not 50%, that's still only 66.66% but higher than 50% to pass. From what I've looked into for the Chemistry CLEP the study guide was around $10 so while not free that's pretty cheap.
where can i find the book?

Most of the study guides have content or questions for all the CLEP exams they offer. The public library in my area had a few different ones.
When I was on the CLEP website they had a big study guide for all CLEP exams and a smaller review pack for the specific exam I was looking at (Chemistry).

The REA Clep study guides/tests are great (I got mine on Amazon). The developmental psych test is a little harder than the general psych Clep, but nothing to worry about. I studied for 4 days or so and took it. It is a lot of common sense.
Nice, that's better than what I saw on the CLEP website. Just order a guide myself for chemistry.
