Hi...
I recently got approval for a Family Nurse Practitioner on a airforce base... I am currently in rural health and excited for this opportunity. Almost have 2 years experience. Any tips/advice/comments on your experience will be helpful!

The military is a big adjustment to work for after working in civilian sector, especially if you don't have prior military experience.
Other than that have someone give you their note sets for ALTHA to speed up your own notes.
I haven't worked in the clinic setting for several years, but it was and is the charting and coding that seemed to be the biggest issues for most PCMs.
Which base are you going to be working at?

Sounds pretty rad. If I were a single, childless fellow I'd be beating the door down to get into military health.

Has anyone had any experience being a preceptor for an FNP student from Chamberlain University? It is a for profit online program. I have been asked to be a student's preeceptor but am a bit uncomfortable with negative reviews of this university.
Thanks.
