Hello, everyone.

I applied to the RN program at CCSF.

I understand that it may take some time to receive a decision, based on past experiences.

I hope to start in Fall Semester 2025 once I receive the good news.

We can discuss the application process and share any available information.

Good luck!

Im on standby as well and haven't heard anything yet.  I wish we at least knew what number we are.

I emailed them on May 9th and one of the faculty responded on May 12th. When I got my rejection letter, they listed the names of the nursing faculty at the bottom.

First, I emailed the ccsf nursing email about the lottery selection on May 6th, but did not get a response. So then I found the emails of the faculty on the ccsf nursing website and forwarded my previous email to each of them and got a response.

Hope this helps and wishing you and the rest that are on the waitlist the best🙏

You already received rejection letter? Did you receive the rejection letter after standby letter?

Do you have offer from other school?

Nope, I just applied to CCSF randomly because I saw it was still open.

I am an upcoming 4th year student at a CSU. I was waitlisted by the nursing program at the school that I am currently attending and just decided to switch majors, finish up my undergrad, get more patient care hours and apply to an ABSN and EL-MSN🙏
Don't mean to brag or anything but I got accepted to 3 private universities last semester to start Spring 2025, but I do not have the money to go and I sadly had to pass on the offer.

Also, congratulations on getting into CCSF! Wishing you and everyone the best🙏😤

ABSN is extremely overpriced and unorganized, and not qualified for graduate level federal loan. If you cannot afford those private Us... you cannot afford ABSN after you graduate with bachelors. I learned that the hard way. ELMSN will also put you into more debts. And a new Grad MSN is also only qualified for entry level jobs.

BTW. CCSF just sent emails for admitted students and ask people who cannot enter the program to notice them so the standby list can move.

I got acceptance letter today for fall cohort and I should confirm before June 4th

Did you receive the acceptance letter on your CCSF email or you received a call?

Thank you so much for your advice and honesty!

I have been working and have money saved up. As for the ABSN programs I have been looking into, they are nowhere near as expensive compared to private institutions, well at least the ones that I have applied to. Also, I apologize for my last statement being vague and unclear. It's not really that I cannot afford (might have to take out some loans), I just don't think it's worth paying 100k+ for a BSN.

Thank you!

Did you hear anything back?

This is very untrue and can be really bad misinformation for students interested in ABSN. There are MANY great PUBLIC ABSN programs that are 30-36k tuition compared to 100k tuition.... There are also many very organized but VERY competitive programs at many CSU's that offer ABSN. It is a great alternative route for many. However, also very heavy workload. Samuel Merrit, a PRIVATE college that offers ABSN, is very expensive and unorganized due to changes in their role system atm. ELMSN- is still a very good option, for some, and PUBLIC colleges like SFSU- ALSO OFFER IT, that is cheap.
