Hi all. Just a quick question. Is it worth it to get a CHPN? Will it help me move up in the chain? It is so danged expensive, and my company won't pay for it. Will it help me to get into management? Or is it better to get a general Case Management Certification? I would like to perhaps move up into management, but I'm not sure how to do that. Would either of these certifications help? Every job I see wants you to have supervisory experience already...how on earth do I get that? Thanks.

it may, but it is not necessary. When I started to work for my current employer, My branch director was an LPN with no certification. Things are different now, and they have taken lpns out of the field at my company, they are medical records people or work at our IPU under an rn.
