I decided to create this thread for anyone applying to Children's Medical Center of Dallas for the July 2016 Nurse Residency Program! Good luck to everyone! If there are any current or past residents that would like to offer any advice, please feel free to do so!!!!! Good luck to everyone applying!

Did it bother anyone else that they didn't even offer to pay for our parking after the interview days? I know that Children's is a go to destination for Peds but I think the little things are important. Especially when people travel long distances, some from out of state, to interview with you. Look at the small things folks, than can reveal more than you think......best of luck to all in your job hunt!

I remember feeling a little strange when they didn't validate my ticket after my tour. Where I currently am, that's like the first consideration for going anywhere and the first thing offered in any customer service job.

I didn't ask and they didn't offer. Obviously a tour is a little different than an interview, but if you think about it, they don't pay for you to print your portfolio or for your business attire for the interview either. If you want it, you gotta fund it.

Congratulations graduatenurse2016! I also received an offer from the ED, as did a friend and classmate of mine so that is 3/4 of us! Are you accepting?

I received an offer for C9 Lung & Airway yesterday! Congrats to those who have gotten calls. Good luck to those still waiting! I'm sure it just takes forever for one person to call everybody.

Anyone moving to TX from out of state? I'll be moving from Arkansas!

Nope, not yet. I emailed the recruiter a few hours ago and haven't gotten anything back... I'm guessing you haven't heard anything yet either?

The recruiter called me today saying she had "good news" for me. I was unavailable, so it was a voicemail, but I will be calling tomorrow first thing to see what this good news is! I thought you all would like to know CVICU calls may be starting.[emoji79]
