Here's a new thread for anyone who applied for the July 2020 Acute or Critical Care Nurse Residencies at Children's Health Dallas, we can keep each other updated! The application closes today (1/16)! I applied for both tracks!

yeah I still haven't heard anything and Jabar hasn't emailed or answered calls. I don't wanna be that person and call his personal number but I'm so impatient.

No offer and still no response or news.

Yeah I’ve had no luck getting in contact with him at all. Kinda disappointing

Has anyone that received an offer call been able to get in contact with Jabar? Since the call, I have not been able to reach him at all.

IDK what the excuse was before, but now everything is kind of crazy with this COVID-19 thing. Updates from HR are usually slow, but now they’re gonna be even slower. They’re too busy sending out emails about quarantines and stuff, and they probably have to work from home. It’s a mess. Try and hang tight, y’all.

Okay I finally got ahold of Jabar. He said we should be getting an email in about a week or two with more information. All the drug screens, background checks, etc. have to be done within 90 days of hire, which is why there is nothing really for us to do right now. Also there is no contract in relation to the nurse residency program either. I hope this helps people who were in the same boat as me.

Okay so we don’t sign any kind of contract with Children’s? I guess we are just waiting on the official offer letter which we should get as long as we check off on all those pre screens?

So I heard back but from a different recruiter. When I gave my top 3 choices in the 1st email we sent to Jabar, I ended up interviewing with 1 of my top 3 units for the nurse residency but a few days ago a recruiter called me from one of my other top units and asked if I would still be interested in interviewing with that unit but it would not be a part of the GN residency. I have an interview with them tomorrow so they may still be looking for candidates for other positions!
