Here's a new thread for anyone who applied for the July 2020 Acute or Critical Care Nurse Residencies at Children's Health Dallas, we can keep each other updated! The application closes today (1/16)! I applied for both tracks!

I was wondering this too.. I sent the signed authorization form back to him as soon as I got the email after our call, but since then have heard nothing. Not really sure if we should be doing anything in the mean time.

They use an electronic reference form. You fill out the form with the email addresses of the people you want to give you a reference, and it sends them an email survey to take. It’s pretty easy. I can’t remember if it was 3 or 5 email addresses that I needed. But I’m also a tech, so I don’t know if the number will be different for nurses.

Nope! I think he’s busy trying to get all the background checks complete. I wouldn’t worry about it. I keep hearing that they are SUPER slow!

Did you get the initial email after the phone call? I know we have to send in the authorization for the Backgrounds, but I haven't even received the email that contains that document! Trying not to worry, but you're probably right about them being busy!

I know they're super busy, just wish they would update us more to keep our stress down a bit! When the recruiter responded to my first email, they said they were calling people last Friday for rejections, but I know other people that haven't gotten any contact. Stay hopeful! Maybe they're waiting on the people who haven't replied to them yet
