Does anyone have any experiences with wearing Cherokee Rockers nursing shoes? They seem reasonably-priced, with most models priced between $25 and $40 per pair. They also have that professional, versatile look. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Commuter-

I think I went through a pair or two during nursing school. They were light and pretty comfortable. I have plantar fasciatis in both heels and the Cherokees and Danskos only worked for a short time. Crocs have been a godsend. They are priced similarly. The vanity over how they look (like clown shoes) was quickly surpassed by my heels no longer feeling like they were being hammered. If you don't have any underlying foot issues like I did, the Rockers should be fine.

I wear nothing but the Cherokee Rockers. I have a white pair for nursing school clinicals and a dark blue pair for everywhere else I go. I have had the blue ones for over a year and they hold up to bumps and scratches and everything. The white ones always look brand new and people at work are always asking me how I keep them so white and shiny. I was trying them on in a uniform store in the big city of Charlotte, NC and a girl was picking out a new pair. She told me that she was a nurse in the OR and worked on her feet 16 hour shifts and that they were the only shoe that she could stand on her feet so long so I bought my first pair. I work 12 hours shifts as a CNA and do 12 hour clinicals for school and they are the best. My feet never hurt and I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis in my back and they are the best. You can never go wrong with them. My first pair cost $65.00 and my second pair was only $35.00. You can find them on Ebay at a real good price. The prices have come down because they are not so new anymore and they are easier to find at almost any unfiorm shop now. Good luck! BB:up:

Yup they are pretty good. I bought a pair of Cherokee Rockers (Cherubs was the model) on sale for $29.99 at a local uniform shop a few weeks ago. They feel so good.
