hi, i just finished the nclex-rn today, and after about 10 minutes after i finished the test, i tried the Pearson Vue trick. i got the good pop up, thankfully. however 15 minutes later, I got an email that told me that i had completed the NCLEX, blah blah blah. so, i checked the PVT again, and I still got the good pop up. so my question is this...... does itamatter that i tried the PVT only a few minutes after leaving the center? or that i checked it before I got the mail? could i have gotten a "false good pop up" and actually failed? i've checked it several times, the last time being hours after completion of the test and i still get the good pop up.
my friend said one time that she read on allnurse ttat someone checked pretty early and got "results are on hold". but she said she's never heard of someone getting a good pop up and end up failing.
just wondering if me checking so fast could have given me a good popup, and it being inaccurate.
also, has anyone ever heard of someone getting good pop up and then end up failing
please advise, i'm really nervous.

Relax, Relax........ If you checked it too soon it would make no difference about pass or fail. Results being on hold has more to do with a problem with testing or irregularities with checking in to the testing center.
If you got the good pop up then you know what that means. If you still are getting the good pop up then you know what that means. If you want to know for sure then get your early test results in 48 hours (assuming that you live in a state that allows that).
Sometimes I wish the PVT wasn't around. It makes people crazy sometimes. Hopefulnurse2, be confident in yourself. right now you know as much as you will know till the quick results. It is a good sign though..... Try to relax a little and reflect on nursing school and the journey that brought you to this point.
thanks, i really appreciate what you said. i read somewhere that if you checked it before it said "delivery successful" that you could get inaccurate results. thats why i was worried. thought maybe i didn't really get the good pop up after all, so i started feeling bad because all afternoon i've been on cloud nine.
the delivery sucessful showed up about 10 min after i orininally checked and it didn't change the pop up. so do you think i'm ok, and that my good pop up is probably accurate. i hate being a wuss about this, but i have been stressed over this dang test for so long ha ha.
please please respond rob 4546 and anyone else who has insight about if i checked to early and could have screwed myself.

See, THIS is why I have chosen NOT to do the PVT. If this is your response, why bother? I don't mean to sound harsh, but honestly, just wait for the official results at this point.

How would you of screwed yourself? You really think a "trick" will screw your test results up?

You make no sense. Either you passed or failed, trying to reregister (which is what the PVT is) has no bearing on whether you passed or failed the NCLEX.
I know you are worried, it is obvious. You are really stressing yourself out over something you cannot change. Either you pass or fail. That may sound mean in the emotional condition you are in right now. I bet you are tired and stressed from nursing school, emotionally spent from prepping for the NCLEX, and you feel that your whole life and career hinges on passing. This just isn't the case, this reaction is created by your mind due to the stress you are feeling. If you pass then whooo hoooo, but if you don't then you will buckle down with the studies and do better the next time. It isn't final, it is just a step on the journey.
I know I am not explaining myself very good, and it will be hard for you to understand in the condition you are in right now. I see you have been combing allnurses looking for answers to a question no one can answer. We don't know if you passed or not. You could not have or can not do anything to change the pass or fail result by checking the PVT. Do I think you are okay, yes probably but I cannot say that for sure. Does your state allow the early results? If so check your Pearson Vue account in about 24 hours and put your mind at ease. pour yourself a glass of ice tea and sit outside and enjoy the sun on a beautiful day.

Did you pass? Was the PVT method correct? I tried within 2 hours of my scheduled test (I was scheduled to start the exam at 2pm but started early 45 minutes early) after receiving my completion email. I got the good pop up but now I am wondering if I did it too early.
