Has anyone else applied to this program for May 2023? Looking to chat and keep in touch through this process! I heard the last two years they haven’t even conducted interviews and that they haven’t decided if they are doing them this year or not.

Hi. I applied there this year and am also awaiting an interview. I knew they didn’t conduct them the previous years but haven’t heard anything about it yet this year. It’s posted on the website that they may host interviews. I haven’t heard anything back from the school since my application other than one of my references didn’t send in their letter. I got that resolved tho and they said I’d still be considered for this years cohort. Have you heard anything from them yet since submitting your application?

Last I heard from admissions, they were undecided on whether they would be doing interviews this year. However, I also know that they had planned to start reviewing applications the second week of October but they ended up doing their reaccreditation stuff the last two weeks instead.

Given that, I would be shocked if they ended up doing interviews this year since they’re a bit behind their usual schedule and were undecided to begin with. I plan to email admissions end of this week to see if I can get an update. I know in the past they’ve sent out acceptance letters the week of Thanksgiving via mail for priority deadline applicants so hopefully we will only have to wait a bit longer. ??

Oh wow. Thanks for the info. Definitely post in here what you find out. I’ve heard of people getting into schools without having to interview but I didn’t think that really happened much. That would be nice tho. Takes away a bit of the stress. Still have the stress tho of not knowing what’s going to happen. A couple more weeks sounds great. The sooner the better.

Apparently during their reaccreditation it was recommended that they start doing them again so if they don’t end up doing them this year it sounds like the will in the future. 
It’s definitely bitter sweet though! It’s nice because it’s one less thing to stress about but I also feel like the interview process could sometimes further show your competence! I would say I’m a pretty competitive applicant aside from my cumulative GPA. It’s only a 3.5 because of my first few semesters of college. But my sciences and nursing GPA is like a 3.95. I just worry because I’ve been denied from a couple other schools without even having a chance to interview over my 3.5 even though I have good experience and a strong science/nursing GPA… I just have to remind myself that just because I got denied from one doesn’t mean I won’t have a chance with another! So I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. It’s so nerve wracking and such mentally exhausting process!

Just got an update from admissions that she is still unsure whether they will be conducting interviews. She said regardless some thing will be sent out via mail before Thanksgivings. So hopefully we will have some answers soon!

I actually asked a similar question yesterday and got the same answer! Thanksgiving can’t come soon enough.

Has anyone heard any updates? If they are on schedule then they should be sending out letters this week! I would email the women in charge of admissions again to see but I  just did on 11/3 so I don’t want to bother her again LOL. 
 

This school is in my top two so I will be anxiously awaiting that dang letter until it comes. ?

I just got an email giving me the heads up that they are a bit behind schedule and letters will be sent out the week after Thanksgiving rather than this week. I am not sure if this was sent to everyone so just wanted to share the information just in case. ?

Lame! They told me I’d know by Thanksgiving at the latest. That wasn’t super recent though. I’m checking the mail like multiple times a day ? does anyone know why they didn’t end up doing interviews? I thought they were going to this year

Haha, same about constantly checking the mail. I’ve basically been stalking the postal worker the last few days!? 

I have a friend in the program who said they used to interview, then stopped because of Covid, and have now been advised by accreditors (that redid their accreditation in October) to resume doing interviews next year. The accreditation in October is why they’re behind their usual admitting schedule. 
 

It’s kind of bitter sweet because it’s nice to not jump through the hoop of an interview but I also feel like it can be a really good way to prove yourself by actually meeting!
