Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science entry-level Master of Science in Nursing Program (ELMSN)

Hi all!

I just wanted to see who is in this program/who has applied and their thoughts.

I am planning on applying to this program for Spring 2019 and wanted to get some feedback from current nursing students or others that are planning on applying.

What're your stats and what was the interview/application process like?

Thanks for your input!

Hi! I am also applying to Spring 2019!

Awesome! Have you taken the HESI yet? How far along are you with the application?

I'm freaking out a bit because I'm in limbo on how to pay for school. I'm fearful of being 80k+ is debt when I graduate. I have people in my ear just telling me to do a ADN program at a community college with a bridge program for a BSN since it's so much cheaper.

Yes, I have taken the HESI exam. I actually am done turning in all the required documents and such as today! But yes, I am with you on that :(

AWESOME! Is it correct that the total cost for the entire program is about 24K?

Yes, I have taken the HESI exam. I actually am done turning in all the required documents and such as today! But yes, I am with you on that :(

Do you have an interview scheduled?

Yes! Scheduled Monday. Were you able to turn in all items required?

Yes! Scheduled Monday. Were you able to turn in all items required?

Awesome, I'll be there Monday too!

Yay! Very excited for the both of us. Will see you Monday :)

Hey! How'd it go?!

Hey guys do you know where we can find directions for the personal essay part of the application? Like how long is has to be, what it specifically needs to address? I'll probably email admissions but I wanted to make sure I'm not missing something that's super obvious.

I think it really went! How did it go for you?
