change in career or facility

hello-- didn't know where else to post this but here goes-- in the facility i work at (it is a private-owned)==they have been cutting hours like crazy-- i have a ten day per pay period position and it has been hitting me the most--have to leave by 9PM now as of yesterday--our union contract is just about up ends on 7/31-- census is now down to 40-- negotiations are not going very well--no body is telling us anything-- should i bail and try to get another job-- i realize the grass is no greener else where and the best possible areas would be starting 20 miles away--which the drive is no problem-- the facility is only one mile from where i live-- but i am the lowest paid nurse that is working there and i have twenty years experience-- most of the others have less thanthat-- have had to spend the last eight months of employment working with a nurse who has a drinking problem-- spent jailtime for 5 months and was on the work program-- it seems like management caters to her-- she never has to leave early-- she spends most of the shift on the phone with her friends(long distance of course)--just need some advice-- sign me a very frustrated tigger2sassy
