CHANCES Scholarship/CHOA

Published

I have just started an accelerated BSN program in SC but am looking at different options for both scholarships & jobs. I found the info about the CHANCES scholarship at CHOA and am very interested. I was hoping there was a contact person on the website but couldn't find someone. I am hoping to find out if there are any limitations (ie, for only in-state residents) and also any issues for the accelerated BSN (ie, I graduate in 16 months so would only need the scholarship for one year... but I won't have any grades in the program until after the deadline - so would I apply with my old transcripts from previous schools?)

I did a lot of volunteer time at our MUSC children's hospital here and know I want to work at a children's hospital. My husband and I are open to relocating and are interested in the Atlanta area.

Can anyone help with these questions? Or, does anyone know who I could contact?

PM me. I'm a CHANCES scholarship recipient.

Hi,

I currently work at CHOA. I will see what I can find out for you when I go into work on Tuesday. I believe you can call the HR department and they can direct you to the contact person though.

Thanks, but I was able to get my answers already and am working on my application now. :)

I'm a little late to this thread, but I really want to work at Children's and am completing the CHANCES application right now. Anyone have any tips or advice for being successful in the application process?

Thanks for the help!
