Hi, I am about to submit my application for the JTCC Nursing Program Spring 2016 and was wondering what are my chances of getting in. Also, I heard there are fewer slots in the Hybrid Program as opposed to traditional track. Is that true? I just took my TEAS V today and got 79.3 individual score which is Advanced and puts me in the 88th percentile for my program (87th nationally). I have a 3.6 (3 A's in Psych, BIO 141 and SDV Classes I took online this summer at JTCC. And two B's in ENG and Math that transferred). I have my B.S. in Business Management. I am super worried and stressed about my chances of getting in and I havent even submitted my app yet! But my friend says they were turning people down with 4.0s and really high TEAS scores for the last couple of semesters! Does anyone know of or did you get in with similar scores recently?

Go straight to the source. Call the admissions department and ask them. They are your best source of information and can let you know where you need to improve to increase your chances. Good luck!
Thanks. They couldn't really say. Just that it depends how many applicants they get and varies from semester to semester. I met with my nurse adviser who said my TEAS scores were good but she cant guarantee anything of course. Oh well, its sent off. Now the waiting game!

Have you heard anything from the program? I have similar grades and TEAS score. I'm in the waiting game until it's application season again. I just recently moved to the area so technically I could take some more courses to increase my chances, but I don't know if it'll really make a difference! Ah!
I have not heard anything. They are saying we will know the last week of October...fingers crossed! the good thing us we can take more classes and redo teas and apply next year if we don't get in!

When I spoke to my nursing advisor I was told they go mainly off the Teas Scores. She told me not to re-take a class just to get a higher GPA.
It's an RN program.
Any news!?
Sorry I'm just seeing this. They sent me an email on the 23rd that I got in! Did you get anything??
What was your teas score if you don't mind sharing?
TEAS was 79.3 (88th program percentile). And that was with me studying for about a week ahead of taking it and buying the official study book. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me!
